Impressions: Really enjoyed playing in this room, reminded me of a home game setting.
Atmosphere: Very comfortable, seating was great, tables were new and clean. Tables were also spaced out enough apart that walking in between them was easy. They also had a couch infront of a T.V. along with magazines for people waiting on a seat.
Dealers: Very knowledgeable staff and very helpful as well.
Food: Somebody was around every 5 minutes or so asking for drink orders, you should never have an empty glass.
Service: Wait list was reasonable. The list was written down on a paper for what game/games you wanted to play. Wasn't a long wait until the got busy.
Comps: They offer a Players Advantage Card, great for getting comp points and extra prizes, including food.
They do offer a badbeat jackpot. As of April 3rd 2007, it has been a year since the last jackpot was won, so it's up there!!

The Poker Room at the Grand Victoria Casino was a comfortable setting, reminded me of playing a home game. The dealers were extremely nice and even more helpful when asked questions. They were very well trained in my opinion and kept up with the action in the game. The dealers shuffled their own cards, and made sure any dead cards were exposed to the table and if a card had a crease or looked like it was marked was put back in the pile and a new deck was used. A lot of the players at the tables were regulars that play all of the time at the casino. They were extremely nice as well and for the most part all of them played fairly decent. One guy at the table played every hand, no matter what it was. The bad thing about him is when you didn't think he had anything, he did.
At the time of my visit they had four of the eight tables running, one 3/6 Limit, two 1/3NL, and one 5/10NL game. The only downfall I had about the place was later in the night there was a wait list of about 7 or 8 people on the 3/6 Limit game enough to open a new table. I don't know if maybe they didn't have an extra dealer or just didn't feel the need to open a new table, but they did not open an extra table. We were five and six on the list and after about 2 hours we decided to go to bed and get up in the morning to play.
Overall, I loved the Casino it was a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere, and I will be going back to play poker!
