Atmosphere: I'm gonna give this room a 5 chip rating due to the overall quality and appearance of the room, it is definitely up to the high standards of the Hard Rock casino corporation. It's only a 6 table room, but it is well away from the smoke of the main casino area. The tables have a nice brown felt that looks like leather. I personally prefer felt for playing on, but for looks, leather takes the cake. The chairs were fixed leg w/ no reclining mechanisms, but appeared comfortable. The chrome cupholders stayed w/ the overall theme of the Hard Rock and added a nice step up from the traditional, plastic slide-unders of other poker rooms. There were 2 flat-screens that were strategically located with in the room. It is a small room, so only having 2 flat-screens is acceptable. The arm pads were new and comfortable.
Dealers: I didn't actually get to play here, so I didn't have any interaction w/ the dealers.
Food: I saw at least two well dressed waitresses offering their services during my 9am swing through. I didn't try to order anything, but the staff seemed very courteous and attentive.
Service: They had a computerized list, so it would seem very easy to get on the list and get seated. With it being a small room, I'm not sure how long the wait would be during peak hours. Management seemed quite knowledgable and very able to answer my questions.
Comps: The comps aren't on a cumulative hourly rate. The man on duty informed me that for 3 hours of play, a player could receive a $12 grill comp. For 6 or 7 hours you could get a buffet comp.
The BBJP was up to $28k, with a losing hand of Aces full of Jacks beaten by Quads or better.
