Pullmantur Cruises is the largest cruise line based in Spain. The company began operations in the late 1990s, growing out of a popular travel agency that helped book Spanish cruises. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. purchased the company in 2006 and sold off a 51% stake in 2016 to the Spanish company, Springwater Capital. The mid-level cruise line currently operates four Malta-flagged vessels from ports in Cadiz, Vigo, Barcelona, and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
