Located at 8670 West State Road 56, the French Lick Resort in southern Indiana includes the new (2019) six-story, 71-room Valley Tower hotel, along with the 243-room and suite West Baden Springs Hotel and the French Lick Springs Hotel, with 443 guestrooms and suites. Located adjacent to the resort’s Event Center and 51,000 square foot, single-level casino, Valley Tower includes 12 suites configurable in three different bedroom combinations and The Valley Bar, which is situated just off the lobby, and along with a full bar, offers a menu featuring light fare.  

There are 15 restaurants between the casino and three hotels, which have an overall capacity to 757 rooms and suites, two naturally heated swimming pools and two world-class spas at 27,000 and 28,000 square feet each, more than 165,000 sq ft of flexible meeting and event space, including a 22,000 square-foot adjustable ballroom, bowling alley, arcade, fitness centers, a total of 19 assorted shops and a host of outdoor activities such as riding stables. 

There are also three golf courses on-site, including the Pete Dye Course and the Donald Ross Course, along with the nine-hole Valley Links Course, designed specifically for children and beginners.

The casino is located near French Lick, Indiana and is open 24 hours daily. Poker is spread only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11am until the last game breaks.

The property has a long and venerable history as a resort. The casino was added in a fairly recent refurbishing that was completed in late 2006.

French Lick Resort Casino offers a wide variety of slots, table games, and a few poker tables. The state of Indiana counts 1047 gaming machines and the casino tells us they have 37 live dealer gaming tables. Information on poker is not easily obtainable but we were finally able to determine that they currently host four live dealer tables in a roped-off area in the 9,500 square foot smoke-free section of the casino, rather than in a dedicated poker room.

Players will find four live dealer tables in a roped off area here. Throughout the years the number of tables has risen and fallen with electronic games, auto-shufflers, etc. as they try to find the perfect combo. Now it's for live tables open weekends from 11am until the last game breaks. Usually there are only 2 tables in action. Friday night is your best bet to find PLO, you might also find  $1/$2 NLHE any given night. Reports on the forums indicate that the games are pretty tight and a $10 pre-flop raise will likely get met with folds.

1875: The Steakhouse

• Serving: Steakhouse, American

The first running of the Kentucky Derby occurred on May 17, 1875 and that is where the name of this fine dining venue originates from.  Located adjacent to the main lobby in the French Lick Springs Hotel, the steakhouse features an open kitchen and seating that overlooks the gazebo and garden areas. Corn fed Midwest beef is dry aged on premises and the prime bone-in rib eye is a signature dish. Perhaps start with some lobster mac and cheese and go from there?

The Power Plant Bar & Grill

• Serving: American, Small Plate Appetizers, Cocktails

The Power Plant Bar & Grill got its name from the central feature of its decor of antiquity. The large electrical switchboard that formerly powered French Lick Springs Hotel is prominently displayed, the rest of the venue is decorated with items of the past, photos and paintings depicting earlier days at the resort.  Enjoy small plates, salads, burgers, sandwiches and a plethora of cocktails and other libations on the lower level near The Grand Colonnade Restaurant.

Valley Bar

• Serving: Light Fare, Bar/Pub

Located in the new (Nov. 2019) Valley Tower hotel, the Valley Bar offers a huge beer selection with nearly 20 types of local and regional craft brews, along with craft liquors, cocktails and a selection of wine. Pull a stool up to the bar or have a seat at highboy tables, plus seats or at the glass top custom made tables and order something tasty and sharable from the menu, such as loaded BBQ pork rinds, loaded tater tots or the customizable triple slider plate. Among the other selections are wings, soft pretzel sticks and beer cheese, fried green tomatoes, sampler platter, chili and soup, salad and more.

Weekends are especially for college and or NFL football, while the bar also features two different sized meeting rooms, with capacities of 57 and 142, that can be booked in advance. 

Regular hours are 4pm to midnight Mon-Fri, and noon to midnight on Sat and Sun.)

Valley Bar is the resort's only 21-and-over eating establishment, so bring your I.D. 

Sinclair's Ristorante

Sinclair's Ristorante is located in and named after the founder of West Baden Springs Hotel. The sophisticated atmosphere and timeless beauty of the decor speak to the heydays of classic American architecture influenced by European elegance. With an impressive dinner menu and wine list, Sinclair's is a perfect venue for a romantic dinner or a family celebration. Located just off the Atrium. Reservations are required at least 48 hours before dining.

Sinclair's Private Dining Room offers intimate dining for up to 20, serving a selection from a custom menu of Sinclair’s top entrees and desserts.

Spring No. 8 Deli

Spring No. 8 Deli is located next to one of the iconic licks, or hot springs near the Spa at French Lick Springs Hotel and adjacent to the pool complex.  The deli serves everything from nachos and quesadillas to sandwiches and salads inside and on the hotel's upper veranda, and refreshing specialty drinks, wine and craft beer poolside.

The Grand Colonnade Restaurant

There is a lot of history at French Lick and you can enjoy a meal in the former ballroom where FDR received the nomination to run for President in 1932 when you dine at the The Grand Colonnade Family Restaurant in the Spring Wing of French Lick Springs Hotel. Most days, a bountiful spread of breakfast items are available and weekend nights a la carte dinner options are available for the whole family. Enjoy a traditional brunch on Sundays.

Pluto's Pizzeria

Located in Pluto's Alley below the Spa at French Lick Springs Hotel, Pluto's Pizzeria offers pizza by the slice or the whole pie with select toppings, along with snacks and salads, a variety of homemade calzones, stromboli, wine, beer, soft drinks and more. 

 

 

Café Sinclair's

Located in the West Baden Springs Hotel's original dining room with Sinclair’s Restaurant, just off the atrium behind the fireplace, Café Sinclair's features a diverse menu serving everything from oatmeal and yogurt to omelets and biscuits and gravy. The sophisticated location is sure to impress luncheon guests or that special someone for a quiet rendezvous. 

Ballard's in the Atrium

Enjoy lighter fare along with seasonal drinks, a selection of Martini's or the signature Bloody Mary, at Ballard's in the Atrium located in West Baden Springs Hotel. Named for Ed Ballard, who purchased the hotel from Lee Sinclair in 1923, guests enjoy alfresco-like dining as the atrium's skylights allow natural light to peer through. 

 

 

Casino Park Grill

Located just off the gaming floor, the baseball-themed Casino Park Grill is a great place to grab a quick-serve breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant’s theme is a nod to the era when a handful of Major League Baseball teams held spring training at French Lick and West Baden Springs from 1907 through World War II. They played at one of the parks that was in the area where French Lick Casino stands today.

Hagen's Club House Restaurant

Enjoy your meal at Hagen's Club House Restaurant year-round with a fantastic view of the iconic Donald Ross Course year-round. Hagen's offers clubhouse dining at French Lick Resort with a special emphasis on steaks and seafood, but the menu is diverse and includes a variety of Americana favorites as well as the Clubs, Reubens, and Rachels you would expect at a golf resort. Hours vary depending on the season.

Table One

Table One is the private chef's table at West Baden Springs Hotel available by reservation only. This one of a kind dining adventure places you at a table right in the Chef's kitchen where you may watch him through glass walls as he prepares your meal for a group of no more than ten guests. When you want privacy for your date or party, simply flip a switch and the windows will be frosted. The menu is one of a kind and only available at this venue. You will dine on one of a kind Versace dinnerware. A more impressive first date or memorable anniversary cannot be imagined.

The Mansion at the Pete Dye Course

Open for dinner every Sunday evening (beginning in late April) through October, reservations are required to dine -for dinner or lunch - at the exclusive Pete Dye Clubhouse in The Mansion at The Pete Dye Course. The clubhouse here is an updated mansion that belonged to the former statesman and politician, Thomas Taggart, who once owned French Lick Springs Hotel. If you are fortunate enough to reserve a table at this iconic fine dining venue (call the hotel concierge) it will be an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Grab and Go's

There are two grab and go eateries at French Lick Resort including the French Lick Mercantile, which is located off the French Lick Springs Hotel lobby. Choose from hand-dipped ice cream, a variety of grab-n-go food items and Starbucks coffee. You'll also find sundries, toiletries, souvenirs and resort memorabilia. Open daily from 6am to midnight. Xanadu Coffee & Creamery is located just down the hall from the West Baden Springs Hotel lobby where you'll find Starbucks coffee, fresh-made breakfast items, deli sandwiches, waffle cones, Häagen-Dazs ice cream and cookies. Open daily from 6:30am to 9pm.
