Owned and operated by the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, part of the Weeminuche Band, Ute Mountain Casino Hotel is located near Towaoc, about 10 miles south of Cortez. It opened in September 1992 as the first Indian casino in Colorado. The sprawling property comprises a 90 room and suite hotel with stunning views of the mountain range and complimentary Wi-Fi and access to the indoor pool with jacuzzi and sauna and fitness center. The property also includes a full-service restaurant/buffet, snack shop, gift shop, a full-service 24-hour travel center, full hook-up RV Park, and conference and meeting space for up to 800 people.

Open 24 hours, the casino offers 780 of the hottest new slots, 6 live table games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold'em, and a 400-seat bingo hall.
