Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino is located in Altoona, Iowa. The almost 82,000 square feet of gaming includes 44 live gaming tables that feature a wide variety of games such as Blackjack, Craps, Baccarat, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Roulette, Mississippi Stud and more. There are over 2,000 slots which feature all the latest titles, and an 11-table poker room which features Omaha and No Limit Texas Hold'em. The casino holds regularly scheduled poker tournaments with $30 and $60 buy-ins for No Limit Texas Hold'em tournaments. A complete list of dates and times is available on the website.

There are eight dining options at Prairie Meadows, including includes restaurants, buffet, and quick eats, as well as four bars/lounges.

The casino has a one-mile track and offers live horse racing from April through October featuring Thoroughbred and Quarter Horse races. Simulcasting is also offered and includes the top tracks in the nation.

The Prairie Meadows Poker Room has 11 poker tables which feature Omaha and No Limit Texas Hold'em. The casino holds regular tournaments and you can find a current schedule of upcoming tournaments on the website or on the poker room's Twitter page. The poker room is non-smoking and features massage, Wi-Fi, food at tables, televisions, cocktail service, food tableside, nearby restrooms, auto shufflers, and has No Limit Hold'em $30 and $60 buy-ins.
