Update: In 2017 the Leech Lake Band Of Ojibwe voted to move their Palace Casino Hotel closer to the city of Cass Lake. The groundbreaking at the new location was held in Dec 2017. The project that is expected to cost between $45-50 million, was approved by members of the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe in a referendum conducted on May 16, 2017. Cedar Lakes Casino & Hotel will reportedly feature a 100-room hotel, a 3-restaurant food court, a casino bar, event center, arcade and gift shop. The venue will reportedly feature 650 slots and blackjack and poker for its gaming offering. The expected completion date is summer 2019.

Located just west of Cass Lake, Minnesota, Palace Casino & Hotel features 80 guestrooms, including Jacuzzi suite rooms. The on-site restaurants, the Red Cedar Grill and the Red Cedar Cafe, serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Players Club rewards can be used to get discounted rates as well.

The 10,000 square feet of gaming features more than 500 video slot machines including video poker, keno, and wide area progressives, alongside four table games. The Blackjack Pit offers Blackjack and Ultimate Texas Hold’em and runs a variety of blackjack tournaments. Palace Casino also features a 275-seat bingo hall running a selection of bingo games from Wednesday through Sunday.

The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwa also own and operate Northern Lights Casino Hotel in Walker, MN and White Oak in Deer River.

The existing Palace Casino and Hotel is a non-alcoholic facility, while the replacement casino will reportedly have a casino bar.
