The Lodge Casino at Black Hawk is in the middle of the "new" downtown. It is located at the second main junction when coming into town North on Hwy 119. Take a left and you'll be driving under the casino.

The Lodge Casino is right next door to Mardi Gras Casino and across the highway is the Ameristar Casino Complex and the Richman Casino. Once you park (they have a nice hotel attached to the casino, too) it's easy to visit several casinos in the vicinity although make sure you take care of your valet. Last we were there they had free self parking too, with casino validation.

Poker at The Lodge

The Lodge Poker Room

The Lodge Hotel  & Casino has one of the largest poker rooms in Colorado (18 tables) and is open from 8a-2a daily.  The semi-enclosed poker room is located on the mezzanine level of the casino--a great location that makes you feel like you're in the center of town when at the table.  Fortunately, there's not a lot of slot action around the room so players can concentrate on poker without lots of outside noise.

The room offers spread limit hold'em and Omaha (see details above), but, as of Feb 07, no tournaments (note:  the Lodge's sister casino, the Gilpin, is the local spot for daily tournaments).  The ring games played are divided pretty much equally across the 18 tables.  Although the room is popular, wait times are minimal, usually less than 10-15 minutes for the game you want.  The wait list is computerized but not posted on monitors; you'll need to listen for your name to be announced.

The tables and chairs are in nice shape and all the tables have auto-shufflers.   There are a variety of comps for regular players and player-funded jackpots that can get up to $150k or so.  Smoking is allowed in the room.

Pho Noodle Bar

The Pho Noodle Bar at Lodge Casino in Blackhawk serves an amazing variety of the most savory Pho dishes. If you are not familiar with this Vietnamese soup you should experience it - a true culinary delight with balance flavors and surprises to tickle the fifth taste bud. Try the rare beef pho with meatballs, well done brisket with meatballs, or combination beef pho - whatever your heart desires. They also serve up two varieties of chicken pho as well as an eggroll noodle bowl, Vietnamese eggrolls and spring rolls.

Jake's Deli

Some folks say the best hot dog in Black Hawk is at Jake's Deli and we couldn't argue with that. You can get sandwichesmade ot order and be back at your machine in no time. Some of the other menu choices include hamburgers, pizza, soups, salad, fresh baked cookies and more. Quick and easy, jake's Deli gives great value and service with a smile.

Java-n-Créme

Java-n-Créme at the Lodge Casino in Black Hawk has what you're after whether you want it hot, cold, or both.
