Caesars Entertainment celebrated the grand opening of its Danville, Virginia casino on December 17, 2024, after breaking ground for the $650-plus million entertainment complex on August 11, 2022. The state's third casino is a partnership between Caesars and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

Caesars expects to invest more than $650 million in the entertainment complex, which will include a 320-room hotel, casino, full-service spa, pool, world-class dining/12 restaurants and bars/lounges, 2,500-seat live entertainment theater, 50,000 square feet of meeting and convention space and more.  

The company's temporary casino, located in Danville, Virginia at the future site of the permanent casino, opened for business on May 15, 2023.

 Plans for the premier destination resort casino, which is being constructed on the grounds of a former finishing plant in the River City, include a 500-room hotel, a full-service spa, pool, various bars and restaurants, a 2,500-seat state-of-the-art live entertainment theater, and 40,000 square feet of meeting and convention space.

As for gaming, the spacious casino floor will reportedly feature over 1,300 slots, 85 live table games, 24 electronic table games, a WSOP poker room and a Caesars Sportsbook.

The anticipated opening date of Caesars Virginia is in late 2024.
