Update: On February 6, 2024, leaders of the Menomonee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin joined Kenosha officials in Madison to sign Intergovernmental Agreements for the proposed Kenosha Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. That means the odds of a casino in the city of Kenosha have improved, but it’s not a done deal. Next, the Menominee tribe will officially ask the federal government's Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) to approve the off-reservation casino. If the federal government does approve, the last stop will be the governor's office.  

The Kenosha County Board of Supervisors voted to approve a proposal for a 300,000 sq. ft. integrated resort right off I-94 and 60th, an area that is currently farmland. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Kenosha is estimated to cost $360 million and is to reportedly include a gaming area with 1,500 slot machines and an estimated 50 table games – plus restaurants, bars and more. The proposal also calls for a 150-room Hard Rock Hotel, a Hard Rock Cafe and a Hard Rock Live venue with 2,000 seats.

The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin would own the casino and its related facilities and Hard Rock International, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, would serve as developer and manager of the project.
