Located on the Mississippi River, approximately 30 minutes from downtown Memphis, Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, offers more than 1,100 luxury guest rooms, a spa and pool, a theater, several restaurants including dining staples like Chicago Steakhouse, Buffet Americana and Sweet Tea, bars and lounges and 30,000 square feet of meeting space. In-room dining is provided 24 hours a day if you'd rather enjoy your vacation time without going out one night. There are 2 entertainment venues. The Gold Strike Theatre hosts headline acts and Stage2, right in the middle of the casino, has live music nightly. 

There is approximately 50,000 square feet of gaming, with nearly 1,200 video poker, reel, video and progressive machines to choose from, a variety of table games, High Limit gaming and a sportsbook. 

Cherokee Nation Entertainment, LLC. (CNE Gaming Holdings LLC) purchased the operating company from Mandalay Resort Group LLC, a subsidiary of MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM), for approximately $450 million in cash. The deal was finalized in Feb. 2023 and it marks CNE's entry into the commercial gaming industry.

The Gold Strike has a 14-table, non smoking room (2nd level of the casino) that offers NL, limit, Omaha and tournament action.  See the game info above; see current tournament schedule in the Items of Interest above.  Note:  the Gold Strike hosts the World Poker Open, a WPT event held in January; expect higher games to be spread at that time.

Wait lists are kept by hand; at busy times, expect to wait 30-60 minutes for a seat.  GS 1/2 NL has a $4 rake + $1 jackpot.

Floor staff and dealers are efficient and knowledgeable.  All tables and chairs are in good/new shape with auto-shufflers on all the tables.  Cocktail and food service is available table-side.

The steakhouse has been remodeled with a contemporary look and feel, and the fare is as good or better than you remember it to be. Try the Veal Osso Bucco with smoked trumpet and hen of the woods mushrooms, or enjoy the Pan Seared Chilean Seabass with spaghetti squash, roasted garlic & fennel puree.

Sweet Tea

Sweet Tea is open around the clock for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
