Owned and operated by the Puyallup Tribe, the new $400 million, 310,000-square-foot Emerald Queen Casino Tacoma (EQC Tacoma) located at 2920 East R St in Tacoma replaces the Tacoma I-5 casino. The facility, which opened in June 2020, includes a 155-room and suite hotel, a 1,800-seat entertainment center, six food and bar/lounge options, from grab-and-go and casual to fine dining, and a 250-seat sports bar that features a massive 473-sqft, 14,000p LED screen. The 110,000-square-foot gaming floor features more than 2,100 slots, 60-plus Vegas-style table games and the largest sportsbook in the Northwest.

EQC first opened its doors in 1996 as a riverboat on the Port of Tacoma Waterway. After 24 years and three major expansions, the Puyallup Tribe of Indians has developed the Emerald Queen Casino into two sprawling casinos and hotels in the City of Fife (3 miles from the Tacoma property) and Tacoma, which is just 20 miles south of Sea-Tac International Airport.

Located on the rooftop/11th Floor of the Emerald Queen Casino Hotel, Slahal offers spectacular views of Mount Rainier and Puget Sound, an upscale ambiance, and a premier dining menu. Emerald Queen Event Center

A 2,000-seat, 21,000-square-foot concert venue and event center is equipped with state-of-the-art sound and visual technology as well as Wi-Fi. Livestream events with HD quality can be broadcast to the casino floor and on each side of the stage there are 4K LED screens that are 11’ 3” x 19’ 11” in size and at the rear/center oft he stage there is a 4K LED video wall that is 18’ x 32’ in size.
