The original Hotel was opened in 1966 but Caesars Casino Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey opened as a casino on June 26, 1979, as Caesars Boardwalk Regency. Today the property has 145,000 square feet of gambling space with over 2,200 gaming machines, well over 100 table games and a brand new sportsbook.
