Biloxi Capital Casino Resort Review Jump to comments

Biloxi Capital LLC proposes building a yet-to-be-named casino resort on the former Tivoli Hotel site on Biloxi’s East Beach, near the Biloxi Yacht Club and Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art. Plans for the 32-acre site include a 1,300-room hotel, 100,000 square feet of casino space, 2,000 slots, 75 table games and a sports book. Convention space and other amenities also have been proposed.

The Tivoli site was purchased by Biloxi Capital and developer Danny Conwill after Hurricane Katrina in 2005 for $40 million. It was zoned for casinos in 2007. The site is bordered by Holley Street on the west, Biloxi Yacht Club on the east, Howard Avenue on the north, and the Mississippi Sound on the south.

The development will be considered after October 16, 2024. If site approval is granted and the developer can proceed with plans, it’s still a lengthy process before actual construction can begin. If site approval is awarded the developer will then need to get permission to proceed. They then must submit extensive plans and financial documents showing they have the funds to complete the casino resort before they start building.
