Woodbine Racetrack
Race TrackConstructed on 780 acres in the Township of Etobicoke, the track first opened in 1956 with a one-mile dirt track and a seven-eighths-of-a-mile turf course. In 1994, Woodbine became the first North American track to hold Thoroughbred racing in the day and Standardbred racing at night. To do so, a new seven-eighths of a mile Harness track, a one-mile Thoroughbred dirt track, and a 1 ½-mile turf course were constructed. Just two years later it became the first, and to date only, track outside of the United States to host the Breeders’ Cup. Woodbine is home to the Queen’s Plate, North America’s oldest continuously run stakes race and Canada’s equivalent of the Kentucky Derby. Woodbine boasts a seating capacity of 12,000 and a parking capacity of 14,700. I arrived at 23:00 and started playing slots machine.
At 1:30 am my phone battery started to go low, so i used one of the sockets near the slot machine i played on.
Every 30 seconds i looked at my phone to see if it's safe and well. As im speaking with my friend on my head phones I realize that my phone is not there.
I immediately called the attendant near by and told him that someone had stolen my phone and he's still near by as im speaking from the headphones connected by bluetooth to my phone.
The Casino took his time, 15 minutes until they hace checked the security cameras to confirm the phone has been stolen, i asked them to give me use my Gmail account so i can track my cellphone, they refused, i asked to make a phone call, they refused to help me in that either, compinsation after i spen a couple thousands dollars in their casino? Off course no.
You will always meet bad people, its a part of life, but a business establishment that give zero care and zero help to a client, thats not fair.
Really bad experience, dont advise no one to visit there and spend their money .
