The Tohono O'odham Nation's $400 million Desert Diamond Casino West Valley opened its doors to the public on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020. Located in Glendale, Arizona, the 1.2 million-square-foot facility replaced the interim casino that had been operating successfully since December 2015.

The casino's 75,000 sq ft gaming floor includes more than 1,400 slot machines, 48 electronic and live table games, a 27-table poker room, a VIP lounge and a sportsbook. Other amenities include a huge rock-like bar with a second-story mezzanine that overlooks the casino floor, three restaurants, including a steakhouse and a sports bar, a food court, and two bars. A retail shop and a liquor store round out property amenities. 

While the tribe reportedly has plans to start work on a full-service resort, convention space and possibly a concert venue on the site, there is no construction timeline yet.

The Tohono O'odham Nation also owns and operates Desert Diamond Casinos in Tuscon and Sahuarita and Desert Diamond Why Casino in Ajo.

West Valley Poker Room

Desert Diamond Casino West Valley's brand new non-smoking 27-table poker room is open daily. The spacious cardroom has 27 big-screen TVs, and offers table-side food and drink service with cell phone charging ports at every table, as well as a complimentary beverage station for players. Each table seats up to 8 hands. 

Beginning April, the casino plan's to run twice daily poker tournaments and daily promotions.

Visitors will also find the sportsbook located right next to Winners. *The bar is open until 2am daily.   

 

 

Nineteen 86 Steakhouse

Visitors will dine in comfortable elegance at the casino's signature restaurant, Nineteen 86 Steakhouse, where the carefully curated menu features prime steak, seafood, lamb and pork dishes such as Rack of Lamb, Dry-Aged Bone-in Ribeye and Chilean Sea Bass. And the bar offers a selection of signature craft cocktails, wines by the glass and bottle and draft beers. Happy Hour 4-6pm.

The restaurant also has a private dining room that is available for special occasions or business meetings.

Located insode the steakhouse, Lounge 86 is open Wed - Sun from 4pm to 10pm.

Open 24 hours, the Food Court at Desert Diamond Casino West Valley offers players a selection of quick eats spots in a cafeteria-style dining area featuring international favorites - Asian, Mexican and American - along with coffee, pastries, gelato and more. *Hours vary.

The Rock Bar

Located in the center of the casino, The Rock Bar is a huge, full-service, two-level bar that features signature cocktails. it opens early and closes late.
