Located in Timonium, Maryland, the 106-acre Maryland State Fairgrounds is a private, non-profit 501c3 organization, which, along with the Timonium Race Track is owned by Maryland State Fair & Agricultural Society, Inc. and is host to live and simulcast Thoroughbred Horseracing. The 5/8th-mile oval track overlooks York Road. Located on the second level of the Fairground’s grandstand, the Timonium OTB Center offers simulcast horse wagering year round. Opened year-round 7 days a week, the Grandstand Grille is located in the Timonium Racetrack grandstands and serves a full menu that is sure to satisfy the most finicky palate.
There are a series of facilities on the fairgrounds that can accommodate a wide variety of events meetings, trade and antique shows, dinners, bull roasts, parties, sales and festivals.

Gaming at Maryland State Fair Timonium
The race track at Timonium is an oval dirt track of 5/8 mile and hosts horse racing events that are held in conjunction with the Maryland State Fair, inclduing the Alma North Handicap, Bobby Hale Stakes, Winning Colors Stakes, Taking Risk Stakes and Linkage Stakes. Races usually begin at 1pm.
The 2500 sq. ft. Timonium Off Track Betting (OTB) Center at The Maryland State Fairgrounds features live simulcast racing from tracks throughout the country 7 days a week. Tellers are on at noon every day (unless they have an early post and that will vary); wagering can begin via self-serves at 11am.

Grandstand Grille

Located on the second floor of the Fairground's Grandstands, the Grandstand Grille features comfort food with a twist and is the only free-standing restaurant in the city of Baltimore with an OTB facility. Hungry race-goers can choose from She-Crab Bisque, Fried Red Tomatoes, Crabby Dog, Jenga® Fries, Clipper City Mussels, Shrimp Po' Boys and more. Open 7 days a week.

Grandstand
Site of thoroughbred racing during the Fair, the Grandstand building is also available during the year for special events. The Grandstand overlooks the track infield and has open-air seating. The building is comprised of concession areas, restrooms, an air-conditioned lounge that can accommodate approximately 150-200 people and a dining room that is also air-conditioned and has an estimated seating capacity of between 350 and 400 people.
Fairgrounds Facilities
There are a series of facilities on the fairgrounds including the 28,350 sq ft 4H-FFA Home Arts Building which has been host to a variety of meetings, trade and antique shows, dinners, bull roasts, parties, sales and festivals; the Cow Palace which covers 158,400 sq ft overall; the Exhibition Hall which encompasses more than 38,400 sq ft and can accommodate 1,896; the Grandstand, with an estimated seating capacity of 150 - 200 people; Horse Shoe Ring; the 11,000 sq ft Sales Pavilion with a seating capacity of 800; and the 4,000 sq ft Vista Room with a capacity of 250.
