Thor and its partners, Saratoga Casino Holdings, the Chickasaw Nation and Legends announced on May 16, 2024, that in addition to gaming the $3 billion proposal for Coney Island, Brooklyn, now known as The Coney, will include a 500-room hotel, a 2,500-seat concert venue, 70,000 square feet of retail and 90,000 square feet of meeting and event space.

State regulators have reportedly disclosed that they won't be picking the winners in the high-stakes bidding war for three NYC-area casino licenses until late 2025. This means it's unlikely that any of the billion-dollar gaming venues wiill be opening before the end of 2026 or later.
