The Big Fresno Fair has been hosting horse races in early October since 1884. Every year the horses still rumble around the Fresno, Califonia track to cheers from the crowds. But there's no need to wait for fair time to place a bet on your favorite ponies. The Big Fresno Fair runs simulcast betting from the Starting Gate four nights each week - Thursday - Sunday, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 and parking is free. Previous visitors should keep in mind that the Starting Gate is now in a new location across the street from the Butler Avenue Gate Entrance.

Live racing every year during the fair: Monday - Friday 1:15 p.m., Saturday & Sunday 12:15 p.m.

Catch the races from the Turf Club or the Luxury Deck.

The Polo Club also offers satellite wagering on certain nights, which change throughout the year.
