St. Croix Casino Hertel and Hertel Express is located about two miles west of Hertel, just east of the former St. Croix Casino Hertel Express on State Highway 70. The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new, larger facility took place on May 1, 2017.

Visitors to the new casino complex will find 250 slots, a 50-seat restaurant and a convenience store offering gas, deli-style sandwiches, and a full line of grocery items. Additionally, a truckers' suite provides lounge-type seating, WiFi, showers and bathroom facilities, free laundry facilities, and a diesel truckers' fill area with added parking for truckers. The St. Croix Smoke Shop features a  drive-up window and walk-in humidor and remains the best place for discounted prices on cigarettes and other tobacco products.

On May 26, 2017, an adjacent 850-seat amphitheater will open at 5 pm and feature an inaugural concert complete with fireworks after the show. The day after, an RV Park is scheduled to open to be followed by a registration/clubhouse later in the summer, with games, a sitting area, and bathroom and shower facilities.

The casino was formerly known as the Little Turtle Hertel Express but was rebranded along with the other two casinos, St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake and St. Croix Casino Danbury, operated by the St. Croix Chippewas in 2010.,
