The Shoshone-Paiute Tribes are currently Idaho's only Tribal group without its own gaming operation. However, that will change after on April 15, 2025, announcing their plan to build the Shoshone-Paiute Resort between Boise and Mountain Home, on the border of Ada and Elmore Counties, near the Boise Stage Stop on South Orchard Access Rd. According to the Tribes, the proposed resort and casino in southwest Idaho will include gaming machines, a hotel, spa, entertainment center, and fine dining options. The Coeur d'Alene Tribe will reportedly help fund and build the resort. The Shoshone-Piute Tribes are currently in the lengthy process of obtaining a license to operate, which involves being approved by both the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Idaho Governor's Office.
