Shiloh Casino & Resort Review Jump to comments
In Sonoma County, California, just outside Windsor’s city limits, plans for a $600 million casino resort have been unveiled by the Koi Nation. The federally recognized tribe plans to turn 68 acres of vineyards purchased from private owners for $12.3 million into a development that would stretch across 1.2 million square feet and include a 400-room hotel, and gaming facility with 2,500 slot and other gaming machines, along with six restaurants and food service areas, a meeting center and a spa. The entire property would be desgnated non-smoking. A signed agreement is already in place for the Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma to manage casino operations.
If realized, Shiloh Resort & Casino would be the third Las Vegas-style gambling venue in Sonoma County, rivaling the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria's - Graton Resort & Casino - located outside Rohnert Park. It opened in 2013 and has the largest gaming floor in the Bay Area plus a 200-room hotel. The tribe, which broke ground in June 2023 on a $1 billion expansion is just 15 miles to the south of the Koi site.
The Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians owns and operates the only other casino in Sonoma County, the smaller River Rock Casino located near Geyserville, which opened in 2002, and is also reportedly looking to expand its gaming operation.
