Sharley's Casino is still located at 1440 U.S. Highway 395 North in Gardnerville, Nevada. Originally constructed as the Corner Saloon in the 1800's this local landmark was originally named the Golden Bubble when it became a casino in 1945. It became Sharkey's when bought by Sharkey's Begovich in 1970. It was sold in 2011 and closed in 2014, then reopened by Mike Pegram in April 2015.

The casino has 215 slots, more than 60 of them are strictly penny slots. There's also a nice sports book.

Sharkey's is the kind of local's casino that promises to offer loose games along with a friendly atmosphere. You won't find the $4.99 prime rib dinner here in modern times, but can still get breakfast for that, and Jackpot Cafe still delivers the best Carson Valley beef dinner in many people's eyes. Try the Prime Rib & Lobster with a twice baked potato.
