Update Aug. 2024: The deadline for submitting public comments on the Environmental Assessment of the proposed Scotts Valley Casino in Vallejo ended on Aug. 22, 2024. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), will review the comments and information to determine whether or not to proceed with the next steps in the casino approval process. No timeframe for the decision has been announced.

Oct. 2022: The U.S. Department of Interior rejected the Vallejo casino proposal in 2019, however, a federal court has ordered a second review which is currently underway at the Department.

In October 2016, the federally recognized Scotts Valley Band of Pomo Indians announced plans to build a $700 million casino resort in Vallejo, California near Interstate 80 and Highway 37 Intersection. The project includes a 400,000-square-foot facility with a casino, restaurants, hotel and spa. A family entertainment center would follow which could include a movie theater, arcade and bowling alley.
