Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs, formerly Scioto Downs Racino is located in Columbus, Ohio and is the state's first racino. The property opened to slots (VLT) play on June 1, 2012, but the race track and facilities have been in operation since 1959. Scioto Downs Racino is operated by MTR Gaming Group under authority of the Ohio Lottery Commission.

The casino spans 117,000 square feet and holds over 2,100 video lottery terminals with the same game names and themes as you would play in Las Vegas or Atlantic City. VLTs operate just like slots on the outside - inside they simply go through lottery servers rather than have an onboard random number generator - human error and oversight are virtually eliminated with this system.

Eldorado Scioto Downs also offers an outdoor Gaming Pavilion that features more than 100 VLTs, Keno Bartop games and a centralized bar. Smokers can step into the Courtyard Smoking Patio that feature over 60 games and a fire pit with lounge seating.

Scioto Downs Racino is open 24 hours a day every day of the year. There are several restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues on the property and of course the Race Track still runs May through September with simulcast betting allowed daily year round. When the track is off-hours, the raceway opens for a Summer Concert Series with nationally known superstars providing entertainment.

Clubhouse

Open race nights during the season, the Clubhouse at Scioto Downs Racino offers a fine dining experience along with views of the race track and televisions on nearly all of the tables.

The restaurant is glass enclosed and multi-tiered, so if you are planning on a group function you may have a section all to yourselves.

Entrée pricing for all American comfort foods range from about $13.00 to $30.00, and sandwiches and salads are priced from $4.00 to $11.00. Reservations at least 24 hours in advance are highly recommended.

The Grove Buffet

The Grove Buffet at Scioto Downs Racino is open for lunch and dinner daily. There are seven dining stations featuring American comfort foods, Italian and Asian fare, a carving station, grill, salad and dessert sections. All you can eat  to satisfy your hunger in a casual atmosphere unlike any other is what you will find here. The hours are convenient and the food is awesome.

The Brew Brothers

The Brew Brothers serves delicious food everyday ranging from burgers, sandwiches to wood-fired pizzas paired with specialty craft brews. The Brews Brothers features state-of-the-art Microbrewery with 10 brewing vessels and an open view brew room.

The Patio

The Patio at Scioto Downs Racino is mere feet from the thundering hoofs of harness racing heroes and a great place to mingle and have a cold beer or cocktail before or after a snack or meal. The Patio is open 5:30pm to 9:30pm on Live Race days May through September. Serving appetizers, chicken, burgers, dogs, subs, and pizza in a price range of $1.75 to $8.00.

Keep it cool with a single, double, or triple scoop of world famous Velvet Ice Cream at Scioto Scoops. Dash Cafe

Veil Bar

Veil Bar is located right in the middle of all the gaming action at Scioto Downs Racino. By most accounts it is the best place for live entertainment, dancing and drinks on weekends. Look for drink specials weekdays and check the link above for the current and upcoming line-up of live entertainment.

Veil Bar is open daily 9:00pm till 1:00am.

Race Track Summer Concert Series

Scioto Downs Racino is  Central Ohio's premiere place for 24/7 entertainment every day of the year, and every weekend you can catch some great acts at the Veil Bar. But at least one night per month during the race season (May through September) the Summer Concert Series brings top name acts in for outdoor concerts that will rock your days and nights away. Country and rock artists will entertain you while you stand and cheer or  enjoy the comfortable outdoor seating. The line up is usually announced in April so check back if you aren't seeing your favorite artist on the roster yet.
