Located inside Colonial Downs in New Kent County Virginia, between Richmond and Williamsburg, Rosie’s Gaming Emporium is open daily from 8am to midnight. It is one of five gambling venues in the Southern U.S. state that is owned and operated by Colonial Downs Group. The spacious casino offers historical racing machines, simulcast racing, shuffleboard and billiards. There is also a fast-food-like dining area and four bars.

The last race was held at Colonial Downs in New Kent in 2013 and the 300-acre property shut down a year later. Racing returned to the track in 2019. 

Churchill Downs Inc. has seven location in Virginia, including Emporia, Dumfries, Hampton, New Kent, Richmond, Vinton and Collinsville.

Rosie's in New Kent has four full-service bars, including one right on the gaming floor. There are separate smoking and non-smoking lounges on the ground floor level and two more on the third floor. Visitors can get an ice-cold beer or one of their newer cocktails including Apple Harvest Sangria, Ginger Smash, or Tennessee Honey Crisp. Grab a drink and get right back to the machines or have a seat at the bar and check out the big game on one of the flat screen TVs.
