4 Bears Casino & Lodge, owned by the Three Affiliated Tribes, also known as MHA (Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara) Nation, expanded its entertainment offerings in late summer 2024 with the addition of the River Willow. The nearly 80-foot-long, three-deck gaming riverboat takes visitors on a scenic journey across Lake Sakakawea, the largest lake in North Dakota.

During the daily 3-hour public excursions; mid-afternoon and early evening, visitors can try their luck at any of the more than 45 slot machines, or the live dealer blackjack and three-card poker tables on the first level, which is open to 19 and older. The second level is for all ages and the third level is an observation deck and also open to all ages. The full-service riverboat casino has three bars and as many restrooms, one on each of the three levels, a food galley, and catering is available for group events and booking for private groups. 

Public cruises and private bookings are available for daily 3-hour public excursions across Lake Sakakawea Wednesday – Sunday: 3pm – 6pm and 7pm – 10pm. Call the Players Club at (800)-294-5454 to get a ticket for a public cruise.

Lake Sakakawea is a reservoir on the Missouri River and comprises the entire northern border of McKenzie County. It's the largest lake in North Dakota and the third largest in the U.S. According to Three Affiliated Tribal Business Council Chairman Mark Fox, the floating casino is part of a pilot project for gaming boats on U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-regulated waters.
