Update: The Twin River Management Group announced on August 6, 2018, that it will close Newport Grand Casino at 11pm. on Aug. 28, 2018. The gaming license will be transferred to the Tiverton Casino Hotel, which will open to the public on Sept. 1, at 10am.

Newport Grand Casino in Newport, Rhode Island has a 50,000 square foot casino floor with 1,500 slot machines and virtual table games Open Sunday-Thursday 10am-1am, Weekends and Holidays 10am-2am. Smoking and non-smoking sections. Free valet parking and admittance 7 days a week.

Twin Rivers Management Group, owners of a rival casino in Lincoln purchased the property along with its gaming license in 2015. The company plans to build a new casino in Tiverton and has approval to close the Newport location and move their license to Tiverton.
