Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort is located near  Chester, West Virginia, off Route 2 South. Race days happen 320 times every year from early March through late December and the simulcast lounge is open year round. The casino is open 24/7 and features over 1,500 slots and video poker machines along with 36 table games and a 12 table poker room. The casinos spans over 70,000 square feet in total.

Come for the day, a weekend get-away, or bunk up for a week or more, there's plenty to do here and the Grande Hotel is right on site. There are 354 rooms in total with 27 suites in the upscale tower. Fine dining, a spa, golf course, and fitness center, and live entertainment on the weekends. The entertainment venue is The Harv, just outside the racetrack and features top name entertainment year round.

Mountaineer is home to the West Virginia Derby on the first Saturday in August.

Open every Saturday during Live Race Season (early March through late December) the Mountaineer Club overlooks the historic racetrack for a great view while dining. The buffet is a lavish spread of hearty fare sure to please the most finicky palate and the most veracious appetite. Most table have cctv so you can watch coverage of the thoroughbreds up-close while you enjoy your meal.
