General Information: Macau Jockey Club and Racing Complex (MJC) intially opened in 1980 as the Macau Trotting Club with harness racing. In 1989 under new ownership and leader Dr. Stanely Ho the track switched focus to the more popular thoroughbred horse racing and remains that way today.  Horses come from the United States, Canada, Fance, Japan, Singapore and more - its truely an international club.  There are more than 600 horses training here.

There are two tracks: a 1,600 meter turf track (370 meter straight), and a 1,400 meter sand track.  The sand track was rebuilt in 1999.  There is a four storey public grandstand that can hold up to 15,000 people on race days.    Minimum age to enter the MJC is 18 years old.

Casino: Macau Jockey Club offers a casino situated on the ground floor featuring 172 live multi-game machines and 4 traditional live tables. It also features revolutionary E-tables that are linked to several betting terminals replacing traditional chips and enhancing player experience.

Hotels and Lodging: the most convenient location to stay at is the Grandview Hotel & MJC Casino (as it's known) - and yes, it also has a little casino.  But most importantly, its right next to the race track.

Macau Jockey Club offers a horse riding school to its member. The school features well-trained tutors that will teach you everything you need to know about horse riding. The Horse Riding School is open daily from 10:00am till 7:00pm.
