Quite a ways off the beaten track in Hoopa (at the Ray's grocery store) is Lucky Bear Casino run by the Hoopa Indians. The setting is gorgeous along the Trinity River near the Klamath. The casino had a small pleasant crowd and the staff were helpful enough. The place is clean and strictly no smoking is allowed.
There are about 100 slot machines (maybe a handful more), and two blackjack tables that are open on the weekends and at night. (You should call for specific schedule.) During the winter there is Bingo - but during the summer months they usually have a break.
