Update: Soon to be a Golden Nugget-branded property, the 539-room hotel-casino will be renovated and turned into a gaming-centric operation with more amenities. The Hard Rock name will no longer be used in any fashion. Will be rebranded as the Golden Nugget Lake Tahoe Hotel and Casino by the end of Sept. 2023. There is no timeline for the reservations, however.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Lake Tahoe is located at 50, Route 50 in Stateline, Nevada on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe. The 25,000 square foot gaming floor features more than 500 slots and video poker machines along with 24 of the latest table games and a William Hill Sportsbook. Gaming and some amenities are open 24 hours a day.

The pet-friendly hotel is state-of-the-art Hard Rock and offers 539 guestrooms and suites. There are 4 restaurants, 2 bars/lounges, and 5 or 6 entertainment venues depending on the season. The seasonal outdoor pool offers a summer series of music and parties. Guest may check in at the front desk 24 hours a day, and there is a fitness center available to those with accommodations.

The casino originally opened  as Del Webb's Sahara-Tahoe in 1965, was re-branded to Del Webb's High Sierra in 1983, became Horizon in 1990 and closed on April 1, 2014 to become Hard Rock Hotel & Casino which opened on January 28, 2015.

Alpine Union Bar & Kitchen

This casual, family-friendly dining destination is the perfect place to and cozy up to the outdoor fire pit and sample a craft beer or opt for something a bit more filling from the menu. Breakfast fare includes the signature Alpine Union Omelet and Hard Rock Breakfast Steak & Eggs, Waffles, Pancakes, French Toast and more. Lunch and dinner offer juicy burgers, steak, salmon, sandwiches, tacos, wings, sharables and dessert. The bar serves wine, bottled and draft beer, coffee, juice, etc. There is also a Late Night Menu with everything from shrimp cocktail, burgers and salads to Roast Prime Rib, Wings and Philly Cheesesteak.

A lot of times at the casino all you want is a nourishing or satisfying boost so you can get back to your game. Fuel is the grab and go eatery on the casino floor at hard Rock where you can grab a six-pack of beer or amp up on energy drinks and gourmet coffee.  yourself with fresh juice, ready-prepped sandwich, or simply enjoy a quick pastry and get back to the business of gambling with a fresh start. Open seven days a week from 6am.

The Oyster Bar

This is the hub for all fare inspired by new Orleans including gumbos, mussels, traditional jambalaya, hearty pan roasts and more, all prepared right where you're served. Open 7 days a week, the lively walk-up bar opens onto the casino floor. It's also the first ever raw seafood bar on Tahoe’s South Shore so a variety of seasonal fresh oysters on the half-shell as well as shooters await the adventuresome. Complement your dish of choice with beer, wine (by the galss), or crafted spirits. 

Park Prime Steakhouse

When you dine at an American casino steakhouse you want to know you are getting the authentic offering. Park Prime is a modern steakhouse with a sophisticated bar, premium dishes, and a stylish atmosphere. Enjoy well aged, local grass-fed, free-range beef, and fresh seafood. The appetizer platters are fit to share and the wine list is, as they say, approachable. Specialty cocktails are available before, during, and after dinner seven days a week.

Meetings & Events

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe features more than 14,300 square feet of meeting and convention space and can accommodate from 50 to 1,000 guests via indoor and outdoor venues. Whether it be a wedding shower, engagement party, meeting or convention, traditional facilities in addition to outdoor spaces such as the Alpine Union patio, one of the many contemporary rooms and suites, and unique event spaces like the the pool deck, patio, and showroom, can be seamlessly executed. 

Winter Bloom Bar & Lounge

Billed as Tahoe's "best nightlife experience," Winter Bloom Bar & Lounge is open weekends with live DJs and VIP bottle service available. 

William Hill Sports Bar

Located adjacent to the hotel lobby and close to the property’s sports book, the William Hill Sports Bar is the perfect place to watch all the big games via one of the 80-inch LCD screens and interactive video wall, or play some bar-top video poker. The lively bar serves a selection of specialty cocktails and bottled beer, as well as popular draft beers. Open 7 days a week.

 

 

Center Bar

The Center Bar is open 7 days a week and 24 hours on weekends and is the heart of energy for the casino. There's an intimate stage, the wall panels are in textured metal, and the bar is set with large columns framing large LED screens pumping out concert footage and mood videos for the occasion. Enjoy diverse wine flights, draft beer and domestic and imported bottled beer, or your favorite specialty cocktail. Bottle service available. Live DJs on weekends.
