The Turtle Band Mountain of Chippewa is pursuing approvals to develop a $300 million luxury casino resort on the west side of Interstate 29, just southwest of Grand Forks, North Dakota. This process will likely take several years. This ambitious project will transform the tribe-owned 146-acre site, situated near the Grand Forks Campground, into a premier destination, blending entertainment, hospitality, and convenience.

At the heart of the development will be a state-of-the-art casino offering Class III gaming, including Las Vegas-style slot machines and table games. Complementing the casino will be a 200-room hotel designed to accommodate both leisure and business travelers, featuring conference and banquet facilities for corporate events, weddings, and large gatherings. Additionally, an entertainment center is planned to host live performances and events, enhancing the resort’s appeal to a wide range of guests.

To serve both visitors and travelers along Interstate 29, the resort will also include a modern travel plaza equipped with a convenience store and gas station.
