Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment Why (formerly known as Golden Ha:san Casino) is by no means a destination resort, but it's a great place to drop in if you are traveling through the area. Located on Highway 86 at milepost 55, just east of Why, and near Ajo, Arizona, the casino is open seven days a week from 10am to 12am.
There is 5,000 feet of floor space that holds about 40 slots and video poker machines, a deli, convenience store, and self-serve gas station with restrooms and space for RV's.
This is the smallest of the four Desert Diamond Casinos owned and managed by the Tohono O'odham Nation that include locations in Tucson, Sahuarita and Glendale. Currently, only Desert Diamond Casino Why doesn't have a poker room.
