Flemington Racecourse is located next to the Maribyrnong River at 448 Epsom Rd, Flemington (Melbourne) Victoria, Australia. A major world-renowned racing venue, Flemington is home to the Victoria Racing Club and most notably the Melbourne Cup - Australia's richest horse race. The course and club have a rich history with the first horse races being held at the location in March of 1840. Now the venue offers a variety of entertainment, dining and festivals throughout the year.

The course has three grandstands and the highest attendance recorded so far was during the VRC Derby Day in 2006 when 129,089 patrons enjoyed the races.

In addition to the Melbourne Cup, Flemington Racecourse also hosts the VRC Derby, VRC Oaks, MacKinnon Stakes, Newmarket Handicap, Australian Cup and Lightning Stakes.
