On Oct. 19, 2022, Clark County commissioners approved Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta's plan for a 43-story, 2,420-room upscale hotel-casino on roughly 6 acres at the southeast corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue. Fertitta purchased the land in 2022 for $270 million. The project reportedly includes restaurants, convention space, a spa, a wedding chapel, an auto showroom and a 2,500-seat theater. According to the building plans filed with the county, the development would also include suites and villas, VIP salons and a bar and lounge for high-limit gamblers. 

The high-end casino resort will feature high-end dining, a 37,000-square-foot spa and fitness center and around 91,000 square feet of convention facilities and is expected to come to fruition over the next two years.

Fertitta already owns the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas.
