Emerald Queen Casino Review - CLOSED Jump to comments
Update 12/19: According to casino representatives, the opening date for the new Emerald Queen Casino has now been pushed back to "early 2020." WCD will keep you abreast of any new developments.
Owned and operated by the Puyallup Tribe, the Emerald Queen Casino located along I-5 in Tacoma will soon be replaced with a brand new $370 million casino. Almost completed, the 310,000-square-foot building, which will span both East 29th and East R streets, will include a 110,000-square-foot casino, will have a variety of restaurants (buffet, upscale and cafe), two bars, including a sports bar with a view of Mount Rainier, and one that will overlook downtown Tacoma and Puget Sound, a 2,000-seat, 21,000-square-foot events center and two parking garages with a total of 1,370 stalls.
Plans for a new $65 million hotel, to be located east of the casino, include a 3.5 to 4-star facility with 150-200 rooms, a rooftop restaurant, spa and conference rooms. The new hotel is expected to open by December 2020.

While there has been no word yet (11/07/19) from the Emerald Queen Casino as to how many slots and table games the new venue will have, at almost double the size of the existing space (110,000-square-foot casino) it's probably safe to assume it will have at least as many as the current casino has now.
