Kentucky-based Churchill Downs' two-level 43,000-square-foot entertainment venue located at the corner of Fourth and Market streets in Louisville's downtown entertainment district officially opened its doors to the public on Dec 6, 2023. The casino includes nearly 500 historical horse racing machines, which are similar to slot machines and allow gamblers to place wagers on replays of old horse races, along with a gift shop, an open-air gaming and smoking patio, and three bars and lounges, including a sports bar with self-service betting kiosks, and a bourbon bar and a wine bar on the downstairs level.

If you're wondering about parking due to the location, the Louisville entertainment venue has 130 on-site guest parking spaces at an attached structure.

Churchill Downs operates one other historical horse racing betting facility in Louisville. Derby City Gaming is open in Newburg and is working on an expansion, with a hotel, restaurant and other additions coming to the facility that opened in 2018.
