The Dakota Magic Casino Resort located in Hankinson, North Dakota opened in August of 1999 and has gone through a few expansion and renovations since then. The 63,575 square foot casino opened with a two-story, 84 room hotel. The next year 35,800 square feet of entertainment/convention space was added and in 2004 a hotel expansion added two suites and 40 more rooms. The total finished built-out space is now 160,000 square feet.

There are over 1,000 slot and video poker machines, keno, 18 table games, a high stakes gaming area, poker room, lounge, fine dining restaurant, a buffet restaurant and a golf course with clubhouse. The casino is open 24 hours a day.

Dakota Magic is owned and operated by Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe. They also own Dakota Sioux Casino & Hotel and Dakota Connection Casino, both in South Dakota.

The Seven Fires Grille at Dakota Magic serves breakfast lunch and dinner in an elegant setting with a cozy atmosphere. The Dakota Winds Clubhouse Bar and Grill offers a full menu of cocktails and drinks along with appetizers, sandwiches, baskets and more. Enjoy your meal inside along with good company, or if the weather is nice dine al fresco on the stone patio with a soothing water fountain and magnificent views of the serene golf course.

Dakota Magic Convention Center

Dakota Magic Casino and Resort offers a cozy and intimate venue for you to see some of your favorite performers of all time. The casino website doesn't have an RSS feed, so follow them on Facebook to see who is coming next.  The venue seats about 1,500 so every seat is up close and personal. During concerts you can enjoy full bar and concession service so play until it's time to rock.

Dakota Magic Casino RV Parking

Dakota Magic Casino Resort has an RV park with 25 spaces located in the northwest corner of the paved parking lot. Some are pull through and some must be backed into. No WiFi is provided but some visitors report getting good signal from the lobby. There are no showers or toilet amenities provided, but electric, water and sewer hook-ups are available. Pet friendly.
