Located off Highway 108 in historic Jamestown, CA, and just minutes from Sonora and two hours from San Francisco Int'l airport, the Chicken Ranch Casino opened as a bingo hall in 1985. The original facility became a casino when slot machines were added in 2000. A decade later a major renovation project added more slot machines and a restaurant. In May 2019 the casino expanded to 30,000 square feet of gaming including 600 slot machines, 9 table games, and a 900-seat bingo hall. Today the casino operates as the only smoking area on the property and is open daily from 10am to 2am. The casino is located adjacent to the Chicken Ranch Casino Resort, which opened on July 15, 2024. 

Smoking is allowed at the original casino and there is a smoke-free gaming area. No alcohol is served at the original casino, so it is open to guests 18 and older. Individuals 21 and older are eligible for a players club card, which can be used at either casino.

Owner and operator Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians of California's new larger casino resort features more gaming space, new restaurants and bars including a high-end steakhouse and coffee shop, a nine-story, 197-room hotel with “breathtaking views” of the Sierra Nevada and Yosemite National Park. Hotel amenities at the $325 million property include a luxury day spa, fitness center, gift shop, rooftop pool, 9,600 sq ft conference center, Cyber Quest arcade, gift shop and tribal cultural center.
