Caymanas Park is a racetrack which was established on a former sugar cane estate in the colony of Jamaica. The track was designed by Bartholomew Vicens-Oliver and was unveiled in August 1959. The Jamaica Racing Commission was put in place to regulate and control horse racing activities at the racetrack. The facility features quite a number of amenities which either cater for visitors or Jockeys. The Jockeys’ Room is a place where all the riders on a race day meet, shower and put on their regalia. This place also is where the riders get to station between and before races. The betting house features a large spacious area with TV displays for punters and horse betting enthusiasts. Types of betting offered at the games room include off-track betting, simulcasting and thoroughbred Racing.
