Parimutuel Horse Racing at the Cassia County Fair is held at 1101 Elba Avenue in Burley, Idaho for 2 days in the middle of August each year. The track is located at the end of the airport runway and can be found by following signs on East Main Street (Highway 30). If you come to the river heading East you've gone too far, if you have just crossed the river you are almost there heading West.
Ten races, plus at least one extra, are run each day featuring various course lengths and breeds including Quarter Horses, mixed breeds as well as races especially for paints and appaloosas. Most purses are nearly doubled on the second day of racing. First post time is 1pm Friday and Saturday.

Gaming at Cassia County Fair Horse Races
Anyone 18 years of age or older can place bets on the races at the cassia County Fair Parimutuel Horse Races. Parimutuel betting is a form of wagering where all of the bets are pooled, and except for a small percentage used for management, all of the money is returned to bettors based on their picks. The odds are set by the bets placed.
Races are held one Friday and Saturday each year in the middle of August, with at least 10 races per day, but they almost always through in at least one extra race.
In 2019, on Friday Agust 16 and Saturday August 17 at 1pm on BOTH days, pari-mutuel horse racing is scheduled in the Rodeo Arena. There will be - Two days of Quarter Horse, Thoroughbred, and Mixed Breed races, with Pari-Mutuel wagering. One Saddle Horse race is also held each day, open to local cowboys.
