Belmont Park Racetrack Review Jump to comments
Belmont Park is a thoroughbred horse-racing facility located at 2150 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont in the Town of Hempstead, New York. The track first opened on May 4, 1905. It is typically open for racing throughout May and June and into late July, and again from late September through late October. There are three tracks at Belmont with the dirt Main Track on the outside and two smaller turf courses inside of that.
Belmont is the final leg of the Triple Crown, so it is perhaps the most famous race course in America. Facilities include a simulcast center taking bets on live races from all around the country, two additional restaurants, several bars throughout the property, the Backtard Picnic area behind the grandstands, and multiple concession stands.
