Atlantic City Race Course celebrated their 65th anniversary of racing seasons in 2010. The track is New Jersey's oldest legal gambling venue preceding the Atlantic City casinos by decades. Although mainly a simulcast facility now, visitors can still watch and bet on live races several times a year. Original stockholders of the track included Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope. The main track is 1   1/8 mile long, and 100 feet wide with a 7 furlong chute. The finishing stretch is just over 947 feet - long enough for underdogs to pull it out or for the leader to leave contenders in the dust. The turf course here is a 1 mile oval, 100 feet wide.

The 2013 season ran April 25 - 28 & April 30 - May 1 with 6 turf races daily. Expect races to be run here every year as it seems to be how they keep their simulcast license active. The Atlantic City Race Course features free admission and free parking, free handicapping and novice bettor seminars, a new open air bar in the Beer Garden, and new outdoor betting pavilion. Children are welcome at the venue.
