Argosy Casino Sioux City closed on July 30, 2014 after a protracted battle to retain their license. The 1920's style riverboat casino was moved to a shipyard in Illinois (a 13 day journey) in early/mid October, and the last remnants of the facility were removed in early November.

Argosy Casino is right in the heart of downtown Sioux City, Iowa and offers an action packed 37,500 square foot casino floor with more than 700 slots, 20 table games, and 4 live action poker tables on the 3rd deck spreading Texas Hold 'Em games day and night.

Dinner and drink options at Argosy are well covered too with two restaurants and a variety of options for libations. Groups and parties up to 50 can rent The Rivers Edge venue for private functions, away from the gaming areas. If your party will have up to 300 attendees, then the Argosy Ballroom is your best bet.
