Update (March 28, 2024): Full House Resorts is waiting for an Illinois Supreme Court Decision to begin building its permanent American Place resort and casino in Waukegan. the company received permission from the Illinois Gaming Board to operate its temporary casino longer than two years from the time it originally opened. Around the same time, Full House received a positive recommendation from the Waukegan Planning and Zoning Commission to the City Council on its site plan and variance request for the permanent facility, it was forced to put its plans on hold. Completion was expected by 2025.

Las Vegas-based gambling company Full House Resorts' newest gaming destination, The Temporary by American Place, opened on Friday, February 17, 2023, near the Fountain Square shopping center in Waukegan, Illinois. The 75,000 sq ft casino is open 24/7 and opened with approximately 1,000 slot machines and 28 of the expected 50 total table games, including Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, Baccarat, Poker and more. In addition to three dining options, the temporary casino also includes a large center bar,  with video poker games, and two different Airstream coffee kiosks located throughout the casino.

Circa Sports Illinois opened at the temporary facility on Sept. 29, 2023. The sportsbook features a dedicated wagering area with both self-serve betting kiosks and staffed ticket windows. The sportsbook brand from Las Vegas casino developer Derek Stevens will also be in the permanent American Place casino when it opens in 2025. 

This Lake County casino is also conveniently located approximately 30 minutes north of O’Hare International Airport. 

Full House Resorts currently operates five casinos including Grand Lodge Casino in Incline Village, Nevada; Rising Star Casino in Rising Sun, Indiana; Silver Slipper Casino in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; Stockman's Casino in Fallon, Nevada and Bronco Billy's Casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado.

Asia-Azteca

Beer Airstream & Coffee Airstream

Bringing an outdoor concept to the casino floor, the Beer Airstream offers craft draft beer, house cocktails and select wines to complement ready-made hot and cold sandwiches, salads and snacks, while the Coffee Airstream is the place to enjoy one of the signature coffee drinks along with ready-made hot and cold sandwiches, salads and snacks.
