A meeting to discuss bringing a full-service casino to Garfield Country in Oklahoma was held on April 2, 2024, with Garfield County commissioners and representatives of the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians. The proposed casino would reportedly be located on 30 acres just outside of Enid city limits. The location is about three-quarters of a mile north of U.S. 412 on the west side of Oklahoma 132. In 2019, the city of Enid declined a proposal from the tribe, thus the change of location. The estimated investment of $50 million would reportedly include around 500 slot machines, with the potential to have a hotel and other amenities on the site.

Several approvals are needed, so it could be a year before a groundbreaking can happen. However, the proposed casino would not require a public vote to be approved.
