Let It Ride poker is a fun casino poker game and the only one that will let you take back bets if you do not like your cards. Interestingly, this game was invented by Shuffle Master Inc., the same company that makes the automatic shufflers seen in most casinos. Besides being able to take bets back, the other unique feature of this poker table game is that you do not play against other players or the dealer. Here is a basic rule guide for how to play let it ride and how to make the most of your experience playing it.
Let It Ride Poker Game
Let It Ride, like most casino poker games, is played at a blackjack style table. To begin, you place three equal size bets on the table in the three circles provided. The bets have to at least be the minimum allowed at the table. At some casinos there is also a side bet that can be made that will pay a bonus for certain hands. These bonus payouts vary from casino to casino but the house edge on these ranges from 15% to 36%. This is one of those “sucker bets” and if made, realizes that it is a losing wager over time.ore to do with winning than anything.
Let It Ride Poker Rules
Once all players have placed their bets, each player will receive three cards. NOTE: Most casinos frown on you touching the cards until all cards are dealt and all the remaining cards are gotten from the Shuffle Master. Once the dealer is ready, you can look at your cards. Once you see your three cards you can choose to take one of your first bet back by making a sweeping motion towards you with your cards or “Let it Ride!”
Next the dealer will flip over one card and again you can decide to take back a “Let it Ride!” The last bet remains and you slide your cards underneath the last chip. The dealer then will go from their left, clockwise around the table and flip over the players cards. Payouts are made based on the 5 card hand you have, the 3 from your hand and the 2 dealer community cards.
You must have at least a pair of 10’s to qualify for a payout. The Let It Ride payouts will vary slightly but the most common used by casinos are:
- Royal flush - 1,000 to 1
- Straight flush - 200 to 1
- Four of a kind - 50 to 1
- Full house - 11 to 1
- Flush - 8 to 1
- Straight - 5 to 1
- Three of a kind - 3 to 1
- Two pair - 2 to 1
- Pair of 10's or better - 1 to 1
As you can see, a hot hand pays you extremely well, however you need a solid hand to get more than even money. Still, this game gives you a chance to take it slow and have a few options to keep or withdraw your bets as the game goes on. Many dealers have renamed this game: “Let it Die,” because of the extremely slow pace compared to the other casino table games. However, having the option of keeping or withdrawing your bet brings an added dimension to an already fun style of poker.
