The Showboat closed on Sunday August 31, 2014. It was the second casino to close in Atlantic City so far, following the Atlantic Club. The Revel is scheduled to close the hotel Labor Day, September 1 and the casino on September 2.  Trump Plaza is scheduled to be shuttered September 16th.

The Showboat  Atlantic City offers gamblers  127,978 square feet of casino  floor space with 3,675 slots, 95 table games, a poker room,  keno and a 1329 guestroom luxury hotel. Visitors will enjoy a health club, full fitness facility, and an  outdoor pool that is open seasonally.

There are 2 upscale restaurants, a buffet, and 4 casual and quick bite establishments as well as a lounge and Starbucks coffee shop with café fare. Parking is available with a surcharge. The Casino has a Mardi Gras theme and live music is scattered throughout the premises. Showboat Atlantic City is true "good-time" resort with plenty of opportunities to enjoy your favorite games, enjoy classic cuisine, catch a few good shows and simply luxuriate in the well appointed accommodations.
