Update: Please see news above. The hotelier has pulled out of the project due to a minor cadre of local resistence. No future opening date has been announced and the project is presumably canceled.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Santo Domingo will be located in the Colonial District in the heart of the city and offer a 23,000 square foot casino with 400 slots and 40 table games as well as race and sports books. Rated players will have access to a private gaming room on the exclusive Suite Floor, and high limit slots will be offered in the casino.

Additional amenities will include a screening room and a nightclub that opens out onto the pool. Two bars, including the Signature "Center Bar" will provide libations and entertainment and several high end, casual and quick bite restaurants will meet visitors gastronomical needs.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Santo Domingo will include 33,000 sq. ft. of meeting space which is ideal for meetings or weddings.

The 400 guestroom and suite hotel (in collaboration  with All Inclusive Collection) will also feature a Rock Star Suite and a Rock Royalty Level floor.

Expect many of the attractions found at other Hard Rocks to be available including a Rock Shop, Rock Spa and Body Gym, Lobby Bar, and more.
